CANASTA - NEW, FREE 2-SONG CD @ SCHUBAS THIS SUNDAY, 1/16

(sent on 2005-01-14)

Just a reminder: Canasta will be playing THIS SUNDAY, January 16, at Schubas. If you've been on the fence about this show (and I'm not sure why, since it's going to be great), how does this sound? We're going to give away a FREE CD featuring TWO NEWLY RECORDED SONGS not on Find the Time, to whet your appetite for the forthcoming full-length album. We're only doing enough of these to cover the audience at this show, so get one while they last! Yum!

We're opening for Saturday Looks Good to Me as part of the third and final day of the "Tomorrow Never Knows Fest", which comes highly recommended this week by The Sun-Times ("some of the finest underground psychedelic pop"), The Reader ("some of the region's best up-and-coming pop acts"), Illinois Entertainer ("outstanding lineup of national and local pop talent"), as well as The Onion, Flavorpill and others. The show will start at 8 pm with sets from The Dials and The Impossible Shapes, and then we'll take the stage around 10 pm.

Also, keep in mind that it's a rare 18 & over show for us, and that you might want to consider buying tickets in advance, since our last show at Schubas sold out.

AND FINALLY, it's Jeff's last show as our guitarist, so please make sure to come out and bid him farewell!
