Whassup, rockers?

Hey, I don't suppose there's any chance you're free this Saturday night, 4/12?
... ... ...
You are?! Oh, thank goodness! Cuz Canasta's returning to Schubas! And we refuse to take the stage unless you're there to share the moment with us. Sorry for the short notice, but the entire internet has been broken. Anyway, Schubas is one of those venues that always manages to make us sound like a million bucks, so you really oughtta be there. And with Mark Eitzel's American Music Club headlining, expect things to sound closer to $2 or $3 million. They've been churning out haunting, intelligent, off-kilter pop for over twenty years (currently on Merge Records), so it's an honor to share the stage with them. It's just the two of us and we're on at 10:30 sharp, so don't be dilly dallying in front of the mirror; you know we always think you look terrific! More details below.

We'd also like to remind you that Canasta's remix album, We Were Mixed Up, is downloadable completely FREE of charge from our website. If you haven't checked it out yet, please do. New City and PopMatters sure did. You may not have *thought* you wanted to hear "Slow Down Chicago" as a techno rave-up, or a dub remix of "Money Making Money", or "Sympathetic Vibes" as covered by Bootsy Collins' robot army. But trust us... you do.

That's all for now. Stay tuned for an announcement about an appearance at an excellent Chicago festival this summer (not that festival, silly -- we're still feuding with Lupe). More on that soon. See ya Saturday!
